 Understand loss through the eyes of a parent and the grief process

 Learn essential elements of forming lasting memories

 Understand the importance of offering trained photographers as part of a bereavement program

 Learn how to establish a bereavement program in a hospital setting

 Understand the tools to provide compassionate care

 Understand the concept of a perinatal hospice program & forming a peer support team

 Learn the effects of words and attitudes on the experience of bereaved parents

 Learn how to support and partner with our bereaved parents

Friday, March 20th:

 Understand Remembrance Photography

 Learn how to perform basic photography editing to support the bereavement experience

 Learn how to position and enhance photography experiences

 Review sample photographs

 Review consent release forms and how to package photographs

About the Speakers:

Kelly Gerken,

Ms. Gerken attended Ashworth College for Early Childhood education.  For over 10 years, she is founder and president of Sufficient Grace Ministries (SGM) for Women, Inc.  She completed doula certificate training for birth and bereavement experiences. Kelly is a published author and has provided support and education from multiple speaking engagements as a Perinatal Hospice Birth and Bereavement Training facilitator.
